The Ceiling Overlay Scope
The scope called for an overlay of the popcorn ceiling, followed by taping and finishing, new orange peel texture on the walls and ceilings, and two coats of PVA primer.
The photos show the work before texture and primer. You can see the new ceiling boards, the compound along their seams, and the openings for the ceiling lights and vent.
Masking covers the windows, doorway, and floors while the ceiling work is underway. The room views show how the ceiling seams meet the walls and continue through the adjoining space.
From the Original Ceiling to Taped Drywall
The first photo gives you a look at the existing popcorn texture. The second brings the new ceiling closer, with the board joints and protected openings visible during finishing.
